According to Deadline, the postponement will not have any impact on the movie’s debut date, set for the 31st of July, 2026. A joint statement from Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios, the two studios behind the project, reassures that, although safety measures are always in place, the welfare of Holland is their top concern. In support of their leading man and to make certain that he obtains the complete rest that he needs prior to returning to the set, the decision to have a production break for a week was mutually agreed upon.

Apart from these, Mark Ruffalo will continue to be Bruce Banner, i.e., the Hulk, Jon Bernthal is going to be Frank Castle, who is the Punisher, and Michael Mando is going to be Mac Gargan, better known as Scorpion, who made his first appearance in Spider-Man: Homecoming, will be back. The variety of characters and actors suggests that the movie could be a crossover project, bringing Peter Parker's world farther while also connecting him to the rest of the Marvel universe.
